Best of: Summer Festivals

[Flower crowns optional] Everyone loves a festival, from food to culture to music, our team is gearing up for some exciting events this summer.

Emily Goldman, Associate Strategist: I’m planning a trip upstate and going to Smorgasburg Upstate in Kingston, NY! I’ve been to the one in Brooklyn twice and it was really fun! Very overwhelming, but fun! The upstate market is in an old brickyard on the bank of the Hudson and they have vendors from both Brooklyn and upstate so I’m excited to try all the different foods. Maybe I should plan a hike for after my binge eating…

Matthew Cancel, Account Coordinator: I’m going to CMA Fest next week! It’s a 4 day Country Music Festival in Nashville and it’s the largest of it’s kind. It features all of the biggest names in country music and has nightly performances at the Nissan Stadium with daily “Fan Fairs” where fans get to meet and greet some of the artists/bands and see smaller performances.

Bryant Chase, Associate Producer: Summer’s best vacations include perfect beaches and your favorite music — with Hangout Fest, you get the best of the best, all in one. The Gulfshore headliners include Mumford & Sons, Chance the Rapper, and Phoenix — not to mention the incredible newcomers. You’re in the most Instgrammable setting with the beach, music acts, and if you’re lucky you’ll catch some dolphins swimming in the ocean…

Jean-Michelle Lopez, Production Coordinator: In only 5 years, the Afrolatino Festival NYC has become the go-to event on Afro-Latinx culture, history, discussion and empowerment. This year’s line up unapologetically focuses on women artist, activist, creators and educators. Their lineups are always unique and curated with thought so I’m looking forward to another year of killer music, engaging talks and amazing people.

Isaac Reynoso, PR Apprentice: I’m going to Panorama this summer on Randall’s Island and it’s going to be my first music festival so I’m really excited! I’m most excited to see Solange and Frank Ocean perform and hopefully discover some new artists as well. And I just moved to NYC so I’m just excited to take part in all the cool activities that happen in the city.
